FLYING SAUCER, CP, New Delhi

Located in the heart of Lutyen's Delhi, Flying Saucer is a cafe aimed at attracting the ever energetic & restless working millennial with its rustique design theme, replacing the previously famous fine-dine restaurant QBA at the location. The cafe covers an indoor area of more than 14,000 sq.ft & an outdoor seating area of 4000 sq.ft.. It is designed without changing any existing structural features such as the central mezzanine floor, yet using these elements to create focal points in design, for example, the light installation above mezzanine, which is made out of elliptical rusted MS rings criss-crossing each other to form a 9 ft high chandelier. With major use of materials such as wood, rusted mild steel, antique mirrors & leather, the design creates a warm ambiance for cheerful drinks & live performances, which turns into an energetic dance floor later at nights on the weekends.
